Alex Edlers retirement night was sold out and brought in a maximum capacity crowd of 18,875 fans to Rogers Arena, and the limited edition Edler retirement merchandise was a huge hit among attendees.
Celebrating Alex Edler
Long-time Canucks defenceman Alex Edler was returning to Vancouver to officially retire from the NHL as a member of the Vancouver Canucks. To celebrate his career and legacy a logo patch and event creative was needed. I illustrated Edler taking a shot in front of his jersey number to create the logo patch, and designed the event creative by using ice to blend white into the Canucks blue, which helped highlight Edler amidst the standard colours of our feed and marketing.
