playoffs during the pandemic

Due to covid-19, the majority of the Canucks staff have been working from home since mid March. The professional sports industry continue to face a logistical nightmare filled with uncertainty. For my team, this meant we had to be incredibly fluid and adaptability was the name of the game.

I was honoured to take the lead and establish the campaign and visual system for the 2020 Playoffs. It was an extension from our past season that focused on the new, exciting team fighting for a Stanley Cup in these unprecedented times.

I have included a small sample of what would normally have been done for Playoffs, most of the content being digital, as is the times.

Social Media

direction

The messaging focused on the community as a whole, coming together stronger than before. Hockey is back, uplifting, and exciting; with a team the city could rally behind together while apart. After a season that celebrated its colourful past, this was a return to the Canucks blue, green, and white.

Without fans, the players became the isolated focus, and any extraneous background elements faded from view.
